Refunds & Cancellations
This policy applies to payments made directly to AI Braintrust Foundation unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
AI Braintrust provides memberships, Programs, professional-development services, community features, and related services. We do not sell or ship physical goods.
1. Recurring memberships
Member and Pro memberships may be billed on a recurring basis at the price and billing interval shown at checkout.
You may cancel a recurring membership at any time through the billing controls available in your account or by contacting hello@aibraintrust.io.
Unless the checkout terms state otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will not be charged for a new billing period after the cancellation becomes effective.
2. Refunds
Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the applicable billing period has begun.
We may provide a refund where we charged you more than once, a charge was made in error, we expressly approve a refund because of a service problem or exceptional circumstance, a separate written agreement provides for a refund, or applicable law requires a refund.
We do not normally provide prorated refunds merely because a member did not use available services during a paid billing period.
Nothing in this policy limits a cancellation, refund, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
3. Failed, disputed, or reversed payments
If a payment fails, is reversed, is charged back, or remains unpaid, we may restrict or suspend paid membership features while the billing issue is resolved.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at hello@aibraintrust.io so we can investigate.
This does not limit your right to contact your payment provider or exercise rights available under applicable law.
4. Membership termination by AI Braintrust
If AI Braintrust ends a membership because of a material breach of the Terms of Service, fraud, abuse, security risk, or other serious misconduct, the member is not automatically entitled to a refund for the current billing period, except where required by law.
If AI Braintrust ends a paid membership for reasons unrelated to the member’s conduct and removes access before the end of a paid billing period, we may provide an appropriate full or partial refund for the unused portion.
5. Patron, grant, and custom arrangements
Patron support, grants, sponsorships, funded projects, or other custom arrangements may have separate payment, cancellation, reporting, recognition, or refund terms.
Where a separate written agreement exists, that agreement controls.
AI Braintrust Foundation is not a registered charity and does not issue official charitable donation receipts.
6. Refund timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Processing times depend on the payment processor and financial institution. We will initiate an approved refund within a reasonable period after approval.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email hello@aibraintrust.io and include the email address associated with the membership, the date and amount of the charge, and a short explanation of the request.
For account security, we may ask you to verify account ownership before making changes.
